APPT Provides Top Class Poker Action
The tenth edition of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour has already produced some thrilling entertainment, and the final Australian leg of 2016 looks set to do the same.
The Crown Melbourne Hotel is host to this 13-day, 14-game festival that runs from the 6th to the 18th of October 2016. The main event, which has a buy-in of AUD2,300 sits alongside smaller but very exciting games. The APPT draws in some of the world’s best players and gives Poker enthusiasts the opportunity to play against some of the biggest names in the game. Since first being held in 2007, the APPT has grown dramatically and gone from strength to strength.
Inter-Continental Poker Competition
PokerStars hosts the APPT, as it does many other major Poker Tours including the European, Italian, UK and Ireland, North American and Latin American Poker Tours, so players and spectators know that they can expect high-quality events. The APPT is even filmed by 441 Productions, and is televised all over the Asian Pacific.
The Asian Pacific countries involved in the APPT are New Zealand, the Philippines, Australia, South Korea and China, and the tour brought government-sanctioned real-money Texas Hold’em to the last two countries on that list for the first time.
Opportunities for All Poker Players
If you’ve always dreamed of taking part in a major Live Poker tour but you know 2016 is not your year, there are still plenty of ways to get involved. You can follow the APPT and stay up-to-date with all of the action and developments, and you can use what you see as inspiration for yourself as you play your own games.
Choose an online casino or poker site that you prefer, and play from the comfort of your own home. This allows you to play at your own pace, without the pressure of everyone watching you, and means you can research strategies and tips online and then apply them immediately. You can even find good-quality games that require no deposit and allow you to play for free, so there is no risk involved and the only thing you’re investing is your time.
While it may not be the APPT, playing like this at home can bring you plenty of excitement and tidy windfalls. You never know, one day you might be ready to take your place at a tournament table.
